3D Printing Technology with SolidWorks & Rhino 8 Design
## Program Overview This fully funded program bridges the gap between digital 3D modeling and physical production. Hosted at a state-of-the-art facility, the course delivers intensive, hands-on exposure to industrial product development and advanced CAD/CAM processes. Trainees will gain direct experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting modern 3D printers while mastering industry-standard design tools. ## Core Learning Modules **Advanced 3D Modeling:** Mastering parametric part layout in **SolidWorks** and freeform NURBS surface modeling inside **Rhino 8**. **Slicing & Machine Logic:** Preparing geometry for additive manufacturing, optimizing layer heights, infill patterns, and support structures. **Prototyping Workflows:** Translating a conceptual sketch into a finished, physical plastic or resin prototype. ## Strict Eligibility Rules **Technical Track:** Open to graduates holding a degree or TVET advanced diploma in **Mechanical**, **Manufacturing**, or **Electromechanical Technology** (prior basic design exposure is highly valued). **Youth Academic Track:** Open to **High School Students** who possess strong foundational computer literacy. ## Practical Logistics & Mapping **Registration Window:** July 8, 2026 - July 17, 2026 (Ensure you secure your slot before the close date). **Program Cost:** **FREE** (Fully covered by the institute). ## Venue Location & Details The program takes place at the **Technology and Welding Excellence Center**. The campus features heavy machinery workshops, dedicated computer CAD labs, and automated welding/additive manufacturing testbeds. **Location Reference:** Situated near the **WOSEN** area, Addis Ababa. ## Direct Contacts **Landline:** 011-646-4455 **Mobile Support:** 0985-11-2035 **Sponsoring Body:** FDRE Technical and Vocational Training Institute
